2.0 versus 2.1

I have two 92's. I blew the engine on one recently and was looking for a replacement. The Saab guru who I intend to have replace the engine recommended a 2.0 over a 2.1 engine. Any opinions regarding the reliability or any other characteristics that would make one more desireable (apart from the additional power and head gasket issues of the 2.1). Thanks!
Glen
