If you've replaced it you know how to get to it.
With console cover off, loosen the two fat Torx screws that hold neutral safety switch to shifter body, shift car into neutral, then slide neutral switch till the little black mark on its top lines up with the black steel pin out of side of shift knob shaft. Tighten torx screws down and test it out.
Car should crank fine in Park and Neutral, not crank in any of the driving gears.
Since pushing shifter forward has some effect on things, it seems to me pretty sure it is related to that neutral switch.
