Oxygen Sensor Failure ?

My '93 900S daily driver has been idling around 2000 rpm when warm (not cold) for the last 2 weeks. Was occasional at first, but is now almost constant. Did the Bentley tests on Throttle Position Sensor, NTC Sensor, Automatic Idle Control Valve and all seem initially Ok. No Check Engine Light, so figured AMM is Ok (bad NTC would supposedly trip CEL as well). There is no mention in Bentley or this site of bad Oxygen Sensor producing 2000 rpm, but tested per Bentley anyway and found about 0.5 volts while cold, dropping to zero volts at warmup, and no fluctuation. Are these the correct readings for a failed oxygen sensor? Bentley says I should get 0.4 to 1 volt fluctuating. Thinking I may have done test wrong since (1) it seems wierd I would get any voltage at all when cold, and (2) I haven't been able to find anyone else posted who had 2000 rpm idle and oxygen sensor turned out to be the culprit. Hate to buy a new one at $100+ and find out I misdiagnosed....
Thanks /
Tom Ross
