I got a '79 Saab 900 GLE 5-dr running after I bought it from an owner who said it didn't run and had been sitting for almost 2 years. I have been driving it around, using the stock b-engine (non-turbo). I owned one of these cars back in 1989 and when this one fired up, I recognized that old sound right away. I have been saying that I plan to upgrade it to a 16 valve turbo engine, but it is pretty cool running it stock. Here's my question...
Do any of you, who have upgraded from stock, regret it at all? Or wish they would have left it stock? Besides making the car faster, does an upgrade like this change the feel so much that it feels too different? I am at the point where I need to either keep it stock or upgrade, and I would like to hear what other feel about this before I just do it. Thanks!
