What I'd do is manually bleed the caliper of air by disconnecting the supply line at the caliper, plug the end of the supply tube with a rubber cap, front caliper nipple cap is perfect, or a piece of wood (I use a very small stick that's whittled and ground down to a point), then remove the caliper unit and position it so the entry point of the fluid on the caliper body is upper most. Then push the pistons into the caliper unit enough so that any air and fluid squirts out. Because air will rise up, this should force out whatever air there may be inside the caliper. A very small amount of pushing against one of the pistons may do the trick. With pressure released from the piston after the purging, you should still see some fluid level with the caliper body. That would suggest the piston didn't draw air back through when the pressure was released. When reinstalling the caliper and reconnecting the supply line, the drip drip dripping from the tubing end until the nut is tight will ensure that no air will be reintroduced at that connection point.
