but should of, would of, could of...
it was rush hour traffic, just leaving Harrisburg Pa. all the cars around me were just bumper riding each other, slow lane and fast lane.
me personally i don't like so many cars in such close proximity of my car.
the group of us were at a constant speed of 65 mph.
just then the car i was behind moved over to the slow lane and before me laid an open stretch of road which no cars were on for at lest 3 miles up.
it looked like all my dreams coming true.
so ...i dropped the hammer on the Saab and she lite up like a rocket, in the matter of 4 seconds i was at 110 mph... it was a dream, if the car had wings it would fly, well after the three mile stretch i saw a van i was coming up on, so i eased off the throttle to slow my roll, drifted the car to the vans speed, if i would of only stayed back 10 feet or so. but no
coming off the adrenalin rush i road right up on the van.
not more then a minute later this huge black massive freak-en tire had its way with my front end.
whats a bummer,. my fog light was lost, just bought them off e-bay. with the mix of the blue e-code headlight and the deep yellow fog lights it looked like a freakin rainbow at night.
man...... wouldn't you know it. i had the fog lights plastic stone covers on them when the tier hit.
to bad the stone covers weren't tire proof.

like turbocon86 said, i also didn't want to stop to look at the toll the tire took, so it must of been 10 miles before i exited the hwy.
went to some parking lot and just sat there and idled for what felt like 30 minutes. i new the damage was going to be bad, this tire was Huge, well some nice lady followed me to the parking lot come racing up on me while i was sitting there and said she saw the hole thing ...... bet it was pretty spectacular.. lol anyhow she gave me her phone number if i needed a witness of what happend & then proceeded to tell me there was an auto zone right over the hill round the corner.
awfully nice of her, so with a little ingenuity, and the use of a ford black mud flap, roll of double stick tape, and nice little neon tube light, and presto, now the car has a front end of a rally car.
ah it all good, tweetiedancers words sank in, (if things were perfect nothing would be learned)

after the impact i looked in my rear view mirror and the hwy was just littered with glass from the e-code, the vans low profile ground effects, my bouncing fog light, and a huge freaken tire.
all the cars i left behind three miles back must of stopped, because i didn't see any-one back there.
as for the paint, i did want to put another coat of clear on it & im sure i would never do it, but now.. im going to have to paint the new hood and clear it, so heck ill just do a light sand with 400 grit over the hole car just to smooth out the 2ed coat of clear, then ill lay a heavy 3rd coat over the hole car and hood.
dang that's going to blind every one i drive by. hmhmhmhmhmhmhmmmm

but yeah, it could of been much worst, if the tire would of went under the car, (with it lowered) it would of most likely have ripped out the shift up sensor on the gear box, perhaps also taken out gear box dip stick, along with my cadillac converter, and im sure the little rubber hangers for the muffler would be no match for this monstrosity.
and then,... if the tire was any higher when it hit im sure it would of sailed right into the windshield quite possibly destroying it or shattering it into a web so bad i could not see where i was going and possibly run the car up on the divider wall, that i was inches from, (after flinching to the left)
............. yeah im good with it, got me a little rattled but the cars still drivable just some minor cosmetics need to be replaced....
