after doing some research about the lh2.2 fuel injection system (the adjustable AMM type) i did some tests and have done some tuning to the air mass meter. the resistance was a bit high in the 1k ohms range. tuned it down to around 500-ish.

also! found a large vacuum leak around the rubber boot for the intercooler! ahha! its nice to fix such simple problems.

the stop and go hesitation is gone and boost is way up. no smoke trails to be seen. the large plumes of smoke at idle have gone away, but not all together. still constant little bit of blackish blue smoke after it gets warmed up. i imagine there are a few new gaskets that need be broken in. perhaps a bit more tuning too. so i'm hoping the smoking stops after a few long drives and some adjustments. i'm am planning to do a compression test some time next week to clear a few doubts. ill keep an update.

thanks for the help all. so glad its not as serious a prob as i thought.
