And that trim varies in the c900 series (16v was 1985 - 1993 + 94 convertible) *and* that trim changed as the year got closer to the end of the c900 run. The question was "I don't have a sunroof..." so I'll take it to mean, "gee, sunroof starts with S and I don't have one..." LOL

The S denoted the trim level. It may stand for "Sport" or "Special" or "Swell"... but it really means the trimm. For instance, in 1985 our 900T four door 5 speed had the three spoke steering wheel, contour style cloth seats, sunburst (or tear drop) alloy wheels, and an upgraded stereo. We purchased on 2/85. In 11/85 we looked at buying another one for my wife. She didn't really want the turbo and we looked at the "S" model. Steel wheel with covers, four spoke steering wheel, lessor stereo, waffle style cloth seats... other stuff... so we purchase a twin to the other car save color. Two years later a couple of kids ran a light and hit her car in front of the left front wheel, stretched the frame and with all the damage they totaled the car. As fate would have it 1987 was the year Saab introduced the 9000 into the US market. So, no 900T four door. Three door yes, four door no. You want a four door get a 9000T, but it has four doors and a hatch... We had each had hatchbacks on previous cars and wanted trunks, personal preverence (also the seat belt stay on the 3 door 900T mounted differently and poked her in the butt and gave her bruises, we drove one for a week to make sure). We looked at every car there was from everyone... I looked at cars that I would have *never* driven myself... but it was a replacement for my wife's car...

So it turned on that in 1987 the 900S... had the three spoke wheel, the upgraded stereo, the contour seats, the same alloy wheels, the sun roof, basically it was the exact same car except no turbo. We bought it. My point is that the level of trimm changed over the years.
