You will need to convert your '92's LH2.4.2 wiring to use a Turbo car's LH2.4 ECU (89-93 + 94 convert.) because the existing LH2.4.2 ECU cannot adequately supply fuel to the turbo engine. Generally speaking, this means you need an LH2.4 Turbo ECU, air mass meter, throttle (the throttle switch is different vs. your 92 NA's), injectors, and distributor. Note that you cannot easily convert an LH2.4.2 harness to an LH2.2 harness (ECU plugs are different). And a Bentley manual for the wiring diagrams.

You can use your existing engine's fuel pressure regulator or one from a Turbo; doesn't matter.

The APC system will need to be installed, too. You do not need to re-wire the car with a Turbo harness; the APC is essentially stand-alone and many of them have been successfully fitted to non-Saab turbocharged cars.

You will also need the Turbo car's downpipe (but not the cat, as it is the same 4-bolt flanged cat as your '92's). A brand new Turbo exhaust is available from eEuroparts.com, is reasonably priced, and is made by an OE supplier. Fitting a used one is usually impractical due to rust, which is why I recommend eEuro.

If swapping in an 88+ Turbo engine with water-cooled turbo, then you will also need the lower radiator hose. You need the Turbo's radiator, too. (Check the part number on your current rad, as it may be the same as a Turbo rad; use eEuroparts.com to confirm the part number.)

You will need the Turbo's oil cooler and associated hoses.

Personally, I would, at least, replace the crank seals, and oil pump seal before dropping the motor in. After having recently had troubles with losing PS pump bolts, I would put blue Loctite on them. New exh. mani. gasket, too.
