I just picked up a 87 SPG and it has a set of VDO gauges that aren't hooked up.
I also have some from an Audi.
I was just playing around, took them out of the console and hooked the oil pressure gauge directly up to the sender. It went right to 150psi w/ the car on or off. then I use the VW/Audi gauge it didn't budge.
The VDO says 2327 on the back and goes from 0-150 psi it does not say Saab ob the gauge face
The VW says 350.271/31/14 11.83 12V
855 919 551B
I'm guessing that the sender is dead?
I'd rather use the VW one (easier to read) so what sender do I need?
Is the threading M10X1K, M12X1K or M14X1.5? for the 5 BAR
Where do you hook up the oil temp and again which thread?
Thanks!!
Carl
