Some of you may recall a post where I shorted the positive on the alternator and feared that a fried ECU might be the source of the new bad idle (immediately after replacing the clutch hydrolic line). I figured I would retrace my steps in the hope that it was a dislodged vacuum line or connector somewhere. In order to get easy access to the slave, I had removed the overhead hoses including the stiff plastic tube from the air cleaner box that runs accross between the radiator and the engine. I had to tug on the metal two way hose fitting that fits in the top of that plastic tube to remove it from the grommett. Picture a medium size hose that goes from that metal T, runs under the intake manifold and "Y"s off under the last intake manifold arm. I guess while tugging to get this hose/metal fitting out of the grommet, I twisted that hose...thus a crack clean-through the hose running half way around the circumfrance. Major leak. If anybody can understand what I'm describing, do you know what this hose does, or what it is called (this would help immensely in finding the part). '88 SPG
