I would not cut off the connectors.
Look carefully at the grey plastic housing and you will see there is actually a hinge that allows it to open so you can get at the bullet electrical contacts. You need to spread one end open slightly to release the hinged part; look closely at it and you will see. You can clean the accumulated corrosion with fine sand paper, little wire brushes or jewelers files (my choice) once the contacts are out. Use dielectric grease on reasembly and your lights will work for many years to come. Use the grease on both the connections and the housings and you will have an easy time next disassembly.
These grey connectors are second best only to weather pack in my opinion. I harvest them when the opportunity presents so I have spares. The bullet connectors can be replaced although new ones have to be shortened some to fit. The plastic part is much more positive and robust than the generic stuff available across the counter.
I'll take your old ones if you have already cut them off!
