Having a interesting problem with my coolant temp gauge. To start, car is a 87 turbo. Once car is fully warm(1/2 on gauge) the temp gauge will occasionally flutter down about 1/4-1/2(1/4-2/3) inch or so. It will go right back up to the middle. My last saab did this, right before it was rear ended to death, so I feel like someone here must have had this problem. I have cleaned the sender connector, and the external portion of the sender/sensor. Just wondering if I should supect gauge or wiring. Or is there is a common failure point for this issue.
As an aside, I love driving my saab! I surprised a G35 driver today and actually got a thumbs up.
thanks in advance all
