removing body trim questions

I am going to have my 1990 900 convertible painted here within a few weeks, and I'm removing as much trim as I can. Much of it is going to be replaced because it looks bad anyways. So far, I have been able to get the fender flares off, the upper body side molding, logos, and mud flaps. All of these things were held on with either (extremely bad) adheasive, or with screws and bolts. I found all sorts of dirt and grime under the stuff. Some of which has started some small rust spots. There are a few things I don't want to dive into without some advice however.

How does the rubber "whale tail" around the convertible top come off? I cannot find any screws, and it's firmly attached....I know it's got all sorts of road grime all underneath it

Does the lower body side molding have punch holes drilled in the body to hold it on like on old American cars, or is it just held on with adheasive too?

How do the bumper side caps attach to the car? These feel like they are held on with bolts, but again, I cannot find any.
