I've run MSS on both my SPGs. My mechanic has always obtained them, so I assume they're the same units you're considering. I don't think as a driver you'll notice a difference in sound, esp with the windows up. My cars are pretty noisey inside anyway, esp at hiway speed. The difference is more noticable outside the car. MSS will give you a throatier sound, but maintains that SAAB resonance. Enough of a growl to make riceboys wonder how such a small tip makes that sound, but not obnoxious. Put it this way: my dog knows its me when I'm still several houses away.
MSS will give you modest performance improvement, but really it maximizes potential other fuel/turbo/airflow upgrades.
One thing about MSS that sort of bugs me is the clicking sound it makes when it cools down. Fit is good, but don't be surprised if you have to go back for a little adjustment after shaking it down for a week or two.
