Hey there -- if you want to recreate an SPG, there are 3 major points of difference. Two are easy, one is much much harder.

1) Cosmetics. Easy. Just get the wheels, the side skirts, the bumper extensions and install them. The BUMPER EXTENSIONS are different. Also the front bumper on the turbo cars, including SPGs, has a lower lip that your 2.1 won't have I think. Note that you won't have to do any drilling to do this, since under your side rub strips between the wheels on the base 2.1 car you'll have square holes. Get the proper panel hardware and install (if you search the web, there are a couple really great writeups on how to install the panels). Make sure you get all the correct mounting hardware, because IMO these things look like crap on a car when they're rigged on.

For the interior, just swap in a 1991 dark grey SPG interior unless that's what you already have. Or you could use the interior from an 88 or 89 SPG since the seat mounts are compatible to the new style seat mounts/center console you have. NOTE: SPG interiors are the same as the other turbo cars, but they're all dark grey leather (except 85 which was tan).

2) Suspension. Swap in the SPG springs and shocks. Your car should have the same rollbars, brakes, and everything else that an SPG has.

3) Engine. This is gonna get tricky. To swap in the turbo engine, you'd need an entire donor car and entire 89+ LH 2.4 jetronic wiring harness. IN MY OPINION it is not at all worth it... you can't just turbo your 2.1 engine and make it work properly.

Hope that helps... Ben
