Sorry, but I think powered stuff is overrated. It's hard to find replacement parts in a boneyard, more expensive to buy them otc, and generally don't work as crisply after 20 years, in spite of the work you do to restore them.
I'd even say the powered convertible top fits in that category. But then again, I came from the air cooled VW world. Simplicity is beautiful. VW and Saab had much in common. They went with a evolutionary approach to their cars. Small changes that made sense. The only place I felt they both went wrong is when they offered automatics. I can can tell you there are few things more depressing than a Beetle with an auto. My Saab comes close though.
Keep the standard set up, and spend the money on things that'll make the car feel a lot more new. Try a new interior carpet (both the rugs and the floorboard.) You won't believe how much nicer you'll car will look (and smell.) It's easy to do and doesn't cost too much. That and placing a new cap on the dash is another great thing.
