Yep - they fall off pretty easily, which is why alot of c900's DONT have them anymore. I've also seem them pretty successfully mounted w/ windshield 3m type adhesive (the black goop), but if you do that, use it sparingly, or it'll goop out the sides.
You can repaint them with Wurth black trim paint which will restore them as new. If they're rotted out already though, probably best to find another set.
And finally, something I will definitely do on either of my c900's when / if I ever have them repainted, is instead of installing these trim pieces, I'll grind the welds down smooth so that it's blended. I think these trim pieces are kind of dumb in the first place when they could have cleaned up that weld (without weakening it I guess was the concern).
