LOLZ!!!
I want either circus music (convertible, for summer) or "Lovely Weather For A Sleigh Ride Together" (Ubersled, for winter).
You can put brighter bulbs in the Bosch lights, but what you need are (rally-style) DRIVING lights, which kick in with the high beams ONLY as an aid to long-distance visibility when no one else is around. I had these on my '82 245. Going from two wimpy US sealed beams on low beam to four highs plus two driving lights on high was like I'd lit up an entire refinery in front of my car. You could spot the deer (I've heard of Saabers in Maine using these for moose) three quarters of a mile away.
Bosch made a driving light insert for the Pilot lights. Since it is used as an aid to high beams only for long-range vision, they don't have any of the refractory bumps in the lenses, they just had clear flat glass in the front.
I've always wanted to put these back on a 900, but they really need to be over the bumper and I don't have a decent place to put them on the new bumpers.
