I have a 1990 Eddy Grey vert with the Buffalo gray interior. My question is .. does anyone know what the original color of the cloth door panels/ rear speaker panels was? Mine are now purple -- I like the look, but I noticed that the cloth headliner on my top was almost exactly the same color on the front section (where it was obviously faded by the sun), before I replaced it.

This leads me to the wonder if the panels were originally black. I'm not sure I'd go for that as restoration though -- conjurs up images of Elvis on velvet. They look nice in purple. I took the fabric off, washed them in Woolite, and glued them back on. I've also seen some on sale on Fleabay that were Buffalo gray leather - was this stock? Anbody know this kind of trivia?
