Check the Hall sensor signal to the EZK control unit on the located on the left inner fender behind the headlight. You need to pull back the plug cover to expose the pins and then check voltage across pins number 24(+) and number 20(-). Turn ignition on, and turn engine over by hand. The voltage should oscillate between .4 volts(or less) to 3.0volts (or higher). If no faults are found the ezk control unit is probably faulty and should be replaced. If any faults are found then check for voltage to the Hall sensor. connect voltmeter between terminal 4(+) and 10(-). With the ignition on there should be battery voltage. If you have voltage the hall sensor is faulty and should be replaced. If voltage is not present, the EZK control unit is faulty. Bentley repair manual, section 340-10, steps 9 and 10.
