power window fix needed (long)

Using Jon's tutorial in his photo album, I successfully rebuilt my window switchpack for a '93 convertible. One problem. the driver's side still only works going down. I know, I know..check the motor. I checked the motor off the car and it works strong. I even used another motor known to be good and it worked the same...went down, but not up. Also, the window only goes down in the auto down mode. It won't go down incrementally, only full blast. It will not go up at all. The wires to the switchpack seem to be good with no fraying or breakage. The internal switch components seemed to be good...no major pitting or any breakage. Is there a way to test the female connectors going to the motor without the switchpack attached. Any help here would be great. Thanks in advance.
