after driving on the 30`s for a half a year with out the fuel chip
they will pull 18/20 mpg no matter if the cars drove in town or hwy the out come is always the same.
with a set up of (3.0, modded apc, 30`s, & over-road boost cut out switch)
the performance is awesome.
no lag time at all, when the car is sitting at a stop light when the fans, and/or a.c. unit engages the rpm`s do not flux, the motor is rock solid. on take off when leaning into the throttle the motor reacts to the drivers every twitch, pretty much as fast as you lay the pedal down is how fast the car moves.
the lag in psi boost is no longer there, once the tac rolls over to boost your gone.
driving on hwy at 75 has the same motor response as sitting still.
laying the boost tac over has no turbo lag time, i essentially went from 75 to 125 in 4 sec. (at just under 3/4ths boost)
the performance is fantastic, only problem is the soot.
after 2 months plugs had a quarter thick of black soot, the oxy sensor had little over a nickle thick, after cleaned and drove one month later the plugs had a dime thick and oxy. sensor had a nickle thick.
we are talking nice charcoal black soot.
if you can handle the never ending gas fill-ups and cleaning of the soot
by all means 30`s are the way to go.

there is talk of a fuel chip that can be made for the 30`s
talks of hooking the motor up to a dyno and getting the full power band then burning a fuel chip for the ecu. which will keep the performance and deliver up to 28 to 30 mpg.
but as i hear it to get this power band the motor needs to be tac`ed out at 7000 rpm
as to how many time i dont know.. & this info could very well be wrong.
as to the soot with the 30`s fuel chip i would direct you to the performance board for this info, but when i talked with someone who had the chip i asked if this car was his daily runner, they replied with no the car sits in the garage and get about 4 miles put on it every saturday.

but in the end running the 30`s with out the chip gives one heck of a great ride.. who am i kidding ITS AWSOME,
but you pocket feels the dent sitting at endless fill-ups.
(the motor needs to be in top running form to achieve this, not new rebuilt but perfect idling no vac leaks of any kind, all hoses running to the intake manifold zip-tied and hose clamp`ed, you know tip top.)

i resorted back to the oem injectors where my mpg immediately went back to 30-34 which put a smile on my face.
the performance with the modded apc and 3.0 still gives the car the great pull but it dose have slight lag in time the psi builds and dose have rpm flux with a.c.unit and engaging of the fans.
blue tips will be my next buy
im only guessing here but it should take care of the rpm drop when fans or ac. engages and provide decent mpg. i would guess 24-27 with a stick shift with minimum soot`ing of the motor.
