Here's the direct quote from vvack:
Here is the description of vvracks hose mod: your going to have to get crafty,

go on and pull the hose.

you will notice the brass shrouded in rubber.
strip the rubber off the brass.

what you will be left with is the brass fitting that goes into the ducktwork and a brass looking hose that was used for the radiator fluid.

i utilized the brass hose, i cut the straight portion off the end of the duct-work fitting, got a small rad. hose to run from carb. to brass hose then attached brass hose to... what is it lower or upper heater hose(i forget its been so long.
anyhow
take the duct-work brass piece to you nearest hardware store.
match up a three inch long same width of the duct work piece (brass pipe)
(in plumbing section)
then grab a hose clamp that fits this brass pipe.
now run to the auto parts store,
get a radiator hose that fits the brass pipe fitting,.... woooo wait a minute,. i think the nipple on the valve cover has a bigger end, grab the nipple from the vavle cover and get the radiator hose that can fit the nipple.
you need radiator hose because heater hose will compress when the motor goes under vacuum.
your going to need around 2 feet of this rad. hose.

when your back at the car clean the rubber grommet within the duct-work pipe, get it good and dry,
attach the brass pipe to the 2 foot hose with hose clamp, run the hose under the intake manifold, plug the nipple back in to the valva cover hook up the nipple end to the hose, then push two inches of the brass pipe with in the rubber grommet in the duct-work.
you will see how tight it gets.
but that's it your done, brand new piping.
for around 10 buxs

now i know some of this will not make any sense,.. like (what brass pipe)
or what rubber grommet, once the operation begins all this is need to know info.
