ok, 88 spg, 3.0 fpr, was happily boosting 3/4 red (havn't put a guage on it yet), but was always getting a miss at the peak levels, probably 7/8 red.was running bcpr7es' gapped at 0.024".eeuroparts order came today- just swapped out new cap and rotor-no change. i had also got a set of the iridium plugs, but when they arrived i noticed they were the R's also (i thought that meant they shouldn't be used on a car with a resistor rotor?). figured, what the heck, throw the BCPR7EIX's in anyways-they were already factory gapped at 25, so, only takes a minute (i had left the cover off anyway). well, just got back from a nice little drive... no missing whatsoever! At one point the guage was clean at the end of the red-i only briefly caught this out of the corner of my eye-required a bit of concentration to watch the road! BTW. all this is only done in 4th or 5th-i do all my own wrenching, and the 5 speed is not fun to replace...

so, the IX's worked for me. i know others have had bad luck with them, and i'm off on a 450 mile jaunt tomorrow, so if anything changes, i'll post back, but for now-i'll sleep well tonight!
installed a nice little kenwood head unit this afternoon, with the USB interface, sounds just great! Kenwood 4x10's in the back, later model dash speakers (i didn't know they were more powerful than the 88's, but the magnet is bigger), and the satalite radio is installed in the glove box-should be a great trip!
