Well, there was also a white classic 900 16v hatchback a couple spaces down from me, and I HOPE it doesn't get towed!!!! So ALERT anyone in the Ft Greene/Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn with that car parked under the BQE, you need to move your car!
After I got past the inch thick of grime covering my car I realized that my cigarette lighter wasn't there. AND my new windshield wipers! GRRRR. I realized this as I was idling through the car wash and realized there was WAY more water coming in than I expected. I had noticed my windows were a little funny, the driver's side one had always been slow but it wasn't closing all the way without manual assistance and then the water STILL sprayed through and got me wet. Thankfully it's crazy warm for Jan. tonight. Double Grrrrr. After that I went to put gas in the car (yes I use premium octane) and THE GAS CAP IS MISSING!!!!!
I'm kinda bummed out, but I am also relieved that everything else is more or less intact.
Um, there MUST be gas caps that lock, right?????
How did someone get in my car (presumably through the driver's side?) and manage to lock the doors back and have the windows up? I guess the window could have been forced down a bit and I wouldn't have realized it since I rolled it down almost immediately........ I guess I should consider myself lucky that nothing worse happened. I have considered leaving it unlocked in the past but was afraid it would become a homeless shelter, or worse, a lavatory. Guess I should buy those items over again and lock them in the glove box????
Items not stolen:
1 cigarette lighter (the regular kind)
1/2 pack of cigarettes (Camel Lights)
$4.21 in change (!)
1 of those tape deck things that you can plug into your ipod.
go figure.
xoxo,
Amelia
