You don't drive much. Good for you.
To keep your car moving, try inspecting a few of the items that sidelined my '88 900 over the summer.
Check your fuel lines, both in the engine compartment and in the trunk. If you see or smell ANY seepage, fix it now.
Have a look at the flexible brake lines next. Dry rot is to be expected, but if they're swollen anywhere or the rubber is falling off or even worse if they're leaking, you'd be better off fixing those too. There are two leading to the rear axle on the passenger side and one leading to each brake caliper in the wheel wells. While you're down there, inspect the metal brake lines that run along the trailing edge of the rear axle. That's what started leaking on mine. See how rusty the lines are around the retaining clips on the axle. If they look bad, replace them. It beats finding out you have a fluid leak in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere, pushing your brake master cylinder piston too far down its bore and trashing those seals at the same time. That wasn't fun.
My cars are old, even the '92 convertible. They're going to cost me money. I don't chase after an ultra-low cost of operation because when I do, I neglect things that turn into a huge headache later. Just don't say anything about my timing chain guides to anyone.
