Finally got around to fixing the broken hinge(s). One hinge
had all 4 of its weld spots torn away from the metal brace.
The other hinge may have had stronger welds, but, as a result,
there were tears in the metal brace.
Had to go through some work -- sorta like body work -- to get
the "torn" sections of the metal brace to align before
spot welding the heck out of both hinges.
In the end...it's looks ugly but works beautifully.
Thank goodness the insulation pad covers all the weld areas.
I will followup with a healthy dose of Rustoleum to make certain
the new welds and exposed metal don't rust.
