sticking with Bosch! Posted by JeffR [Email] (#2860) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JeffR) on Fri, 1 Feb 2008 15:26:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently posted saying I was having problems inserting a voltage regulator in my 1992 900TC alternator. It was a "Regitar" brand part. I'm not saying they are inferior- but here's what happened.
I tried to slip the VR in while the alternator was still on the car. For the life of me I could NOT get it to insert correctly. After several patient attempts, I pulled it out and found that one brush came off and the other one broke in 2 ! I wasn't forcing it or whacking it with a hammer so it really surprised me to see that.
I ordered a Bosch part from a site sponsor and it went in with ease and now I have a fully functional charging system again.
I'm guessing most of you would agree!
