It is coming from the area behind the flywheel. There is not any fluid around the clutch slave or imput shaft seal (front and rear). I will check the hole down on the engine/trans mating surfaces but I am pretty sure that when I put the new engine/trans gasket on it covered up both of those unused bolt holes located there. I can't see much with the clutch and flywheel still in place. I think my next step it to remove them and pinpoint where it is leaking. Going to work on this today.
When I bought my secondhand trans there were some bolts missing from the case halves. It looked like there was some sort of bracket removed on the lower passenger side. I put new bolts in and retorqued them. I can also see wear on the other bolt heads leading me to believe that this has been separated. Then there is the large amount of dirt and grease built up on the bottom of the trans that seemed to be baked on. Not looking good.
Does anyone know the correct torque on the case half bolts? Bentley just specifies something generic like 15 Ft-lb for M8 bolts? I would think that you want more on something like this.
Thanks everyone
