sounds like you got prob.s.
i ran into the same dilemma with the blinker and the radio.
every time id use the blinker the antenna would retract & shut off the radio.
funny thing is i never really isolated the problem.
however there was a few things i did that might have played into the problem.
first off i had taken apart the blinker stalk, and inspected the wires which turned out to be cleaner than polished ice, so reinstalled it.
then i unbolted the two star screws holding the fuse box together,
reason being, i wanted to look under the fuse tray at all the wires running to the fuses.
unbolting the two bolts, the fuse tray can be lifted out of its bucket about 2 inches, and inspection of the wires can be done.
what i found in my case was my headlight wires running to the headlight relay were naked, the plastic sheath that was supposed to be around them was long burnt or melted off leaving the wire exposed.
after looking a good bit i did not find any-other wires exposed.
so i re-bolted the tray back to the bucket and thought forget it, i just wont use the blinker.
to my amazement the car has never had the case of the blinker radio again.
this was about 4 years ago this happened.
what dose this all mean.
putting the peaces together through a series of bad events your case could go something like this.
with the wire sheath melted under the fuse tray you had the blinker effect, when the fuse was pulled the positive wire under the tray was in some freakish way able to ground, while the car was trying to be restarted most if not all the juice for you motor arced to the frame causing the pour running (three cylinder effect because lack of just to fire the plug in a high fuel mix, but if your that high in fuel ratio you should already have hard starts or stumbling after the motor is warm, and its to be expected being the plugs get drowned out, on-top of the lack of juice no way it will star, which on a high fuel to air ratio car would puke out smoke (id say brown in color, but if you see blue i might be color blind and my brownish color i see my very well be blue to)
for me it was just the matter of unbolting the tray from the bucket and the problem magically went away. who knows what your wires look like under the tray.
