UNderneath the passenger rear seat, there is the AMP that powers the rear speakers. Follow the Colored wires out from this box to speakers. YOur new amp should be able to be installed 'in-line' with the other amp still functioning. BTW, there is no power, just signal, coming from the CD player to the back speakers, the front speakers are powered from the cassette deck on top).
I have my AMP in the same location as the stock rear amp...below the rear seat. It took awhile to get it in place, but most amps should fit there (unless yours is huge, then the rear trunk area has plenty of room opposite to the spare tire).
THe coaxial-looking cable that hooks into the stock rear amp is rather high quality, but not as good as nice new speaker wire. with that bottleneck recognized, I still reccomend that replacing the wire to the speakers is a good idea, especially from the new amp back...
AND, the rear amp has three settings...balance of power to the back compared to the front. I would set it to 1 because your fronts are going to be way overpowered, good thing they are close to your ears.
Have fun,.
