Check all the related bushings on the rear axle assembly. Shock absorber , torque arm, spring link, Pan hard rod. Jack the rear of the car up and check wheel bearing for axis side play at 12- O-clock & 6-O-clock buy grabbing the wheel. There was a thec. service letter that Saab posted years ago about the importance of having the alignment toe-in being measured at the RIMS. The optical alignment is base on a 28" inch circle. This causes the rim to rim point measurement to be off a few seconds/degrees when having it done this way. All Saab manuals say to measure at the rims. There are a few degrees that have to be added on to the optical measurement for the parallel lines from center on out to 28" inches. The rim point being further back from 28"inches. The Saab dealer sevice shop carries a tool that an adjustable flat metal bar that all mechanical. All my Saabs that I have had optic alignment seem to all have a slight grab to the road. My 9000 turbo, after two optic alignment, I finally had it done mechanically. What a difference. Just something to think about! I could never talk the service guys into adding a few degrees to the equation due to no guarantee on the job. Said the chart they have is correct. Anybody else know whats right??
