Hooter Valve?

Just replaced my hooter valve (BPV) on my 92/900turbo and it's still making the "Hooting" sound. The old one checks out fine. I've read that some people say this is nothing to worry about and others say, If it makes the "hooting" sound, then it's time to replace. When looking inside the hole and seeing the piston that operates the by-pass, I'm thinking the air going by the piston is the cause of this noise and there's nothing to worry about. My 87/9000 turbo has never made this noise. Both turbo cars seem to run just fine. Whats the difference between those nice aluminium (BPV). I'm thinking it's a better spring and smoother control. The plastic "Bosch" brand just look cheaper in construction. Should the return pressure hose be pushing air from under the valve piston or be returning from the side of the piston. By returning from the side of the piston, this would keep the turbo pressure from other-wise pushing up on the valve and releaving the pressure before the vacuum has time to open the valve. I'm wondering if this has an effect on weather or not this could be the reason for the Hooting" noise. Does all this make sense???
