I wasn't sure if your 86 is an 8 valve or not. If it is then i would say no - its not worth it - yes interior will be interchangeable but most items there rarely go "bad" and those things that do can be had on a "as needed" basis.
Those items that are both expensive and that may need frequent changing eg engine management would not be interchangeable so i would question hanging onto a second vehicle just to pull parts form it on an occasional basis.
My experience between the 84 I had and my 86 was bit different - I took everyting I could from the 84 that was removeable including the steel rims, doors ,dash, cis, rad, head, ps, ac, sun roof, seats - everything - and put them away in storage - everything except the engine which was toast, the bumpers and suspension. Then had the 84 towed away.
