This is absolutely NO help, but... Posted by DietrichOS [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Ford Torino hoods are stronger than Saabs :-(, turbocon86, Tue, 18 Mar 2008 05:40:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My first Saab was an '84 900 sedan, and I had it in high school. It was my first car.
I once let a guy, who probably wieghed 180 pounds, do the whole Dukes of Hazzard thing on the hood of my car. He slid across, and then fell on his rear in a most comical fashion. All that happened was a tiny crease in of the character lines in the hood.
While still in high school I had a 16-year-old girl lay nude on the hood of my car for, uh, decorative reasons. She weighed considerably less than 180 pounds, but still managed to leave another little crease in one of the character lines. Probably because she was on there for about 15 minutes. I always smiled when that one crossed my eye.
My point is, how big was this kid who jumped on the hood? Or did he do a Cannonball on it or what? Or was the hood rusty underneath? I mean, from my expirience they don't just cave in. Just wondering....
