As for Saabs in France... John, I've heard the French are about too majestic and patriotic so it's about too hard to find smth that isn't Peugeot, Citro or Renault. And I'm not clear if you're seeking for C900 or smth newer.
Anyway I do confirm that Bob has a splendid and brilliant English (not 100% like Tony Blair but very close) and it's worth to talk to him about UE market of 2-nd hand saabs as well as about Her Majesty and the weather and the other stuff. But usually he's out of time so just give him a call and turn to email after that.
As far as I remember there're lot's of Saabs on Germany and Italy and GB (and much more in Finland and other northern Europe) but northern EU is far away from France, UK Saabs are RHD. Netherlands are very costly country (just like Sweden). So I think the only way to go is to improve your italian or german. FYI: Germans have more miliage on their clocks but italians have worse maintenance. But last ones used to run their cars on LPG. So... it's up to you.
Arividerchi, moi cher.
Ihr Freund,
Siegfried
