is not should you put $3,000 in a $2,000 car (just did that) but should you or can you drop $25,000+ for a new Sky which is has less utility and is not going to be that much more fun to drive. If your Saab is as good as mentioned, the Sky isn't going to outlast it. AND, on a day to day basis as a daily driver, the Saab is going to be a lot more comfortable. I know, I have an '87 TC in similar condition with similar mileage and my wife has a Miata as a toy. The Miata is fun, but I'd never take it on a trip or drive it in the winter. If the Saab is rust free and has a good top, get it fixed.
