OK, I think my AC issue is due to a faulty ECU input...

I posted below about my AC woes in a 1993 sedan with a turbo transplant.
So here is my question: can I somehow fool the AC relay into thinking the signal is still coming from the ECU? Has anyone ever used a standard relay for the AC (connecting pin 87 &87B together)?
All the AC safety switches are working appropriately, the relay is new and works (tested in a C900 with good AC), but the AC compressor clutch and right radiator fan refuse to come on. If I connect the pins for 30 to 87 & 87b with jumper wire, everything works.
Compared to my C900 with working AC, the only difference is the "TK" pin (from the ECU) has 11 volts on the car with working AC, and 0.3 on on the car with non-functional AC.
thanks,
-Junkie
