so my cousin called me a few nights ago to help him with his 93 convertable turbo auto,

apperently he lent it to a girl, and while she was driving it it blew a hose, she stopped but the hall effect sensor got covered,
he swapped the dist from a 90 900T into it, broke the coil and had to strap another coil into it, and i retimed it for him to 16 degrees BTDC

now ive fixed a bunch of vac leaks, played with every electric plug immaginable, and the car idles beautifully...

but whenever you get it out on the road it will SOMETIMES get up to 55 60 MPH or so, but i hear a clicking noise, as if a relay fired, the car loses all power and you find yourself WOT doing 30 MPH...
any ideas? i have swapped air mass meters, the plugs are semi recent, cap and rotor button are semi recent...
plug wires are questionable?
