depends where...if it's a little slack between the cam sprockets with the cover off, this is normal...remember there is a chain guide in the cam cover. If it's sloppy below the left hand cam sprocket, you may need a tensioner or the chain has stretched. The guide in the cam cover often goes hard and cracks up...replace it. If the chain is noisy, it's often this little guide that's the issue.
