when you cut out the surplus foam backed material in the open space of the sunroof- LEAVE an extra 1.5- 2 inches within the sunroof edge. You will eventually use that as a Flap to wrap up and into the top edge of the metal sunroof edge. then Use use the "U" shaped trim that slides over the flap all around the sunroof edge- holding the cardboard backer, healdliner material tight to the opening edge.
If you don't have this "U" trim - I happened to see a similar piece at West Marine for trimming out the boat fabric edges.
