I had this issue with two of my 900s. In one junker, I drilled holes through the floorboard to eliminate a sloshing puddle:-) In another, it went unaddressed and the passenger side floor and subframe eventually rotted through.

You will hear about leaks surrounding the fresh air inlet seal, see ideas about caulking the bolt holes that are for the knee bolster where it ties below the A-pillars, and maybe even get speculation about drains being plugged (sunroof and fresh air intake). In my case the water was due to improperly aligned and attached door weatherstripping which served to hold and redirect water into the cabin instead of out and away from the door.

The windshield replacement is a good idea too when you weight the small cost for installation vs. the gains in visibility/ safety. Don't know if this is the way to go, but there is a commonly available silicon sealing product for gaskets that is rather non-viscous and wicks right into the gaps.

Good luck chasing your leak down before it is too late.
