Good point,I should re-check my grounds. I've had this car a while and the ECUs just seem to get flakey. I assume the "programs" are stored on an EEPROM and it seems like parts of the map gets corrupted somehow.
I put a Saab reman ECU in the car in 1999. It's been flakey for the past few months but is getting too un-reliable to drive - it usually stalls in traffic and I have to hop out and jump the fuel pump at the fuse block.
I know some have bad solder joints but I would think in those case the car would not run at all. My problem seems to be a specific set of circumstances where the car won't run. Too bad Saabs don't come with the chip burner built in. Then you could just boot the car from a floppy, reburn the prom and drive off and be good to go for a couple of years.
