Idle Undershoot/Stall on Decel

Searched the archives but still puzzled. Car is a 1993 900T Conv, 98K calif miles ... nice!
On decel even from sat 2000 rpm in neutral the engine wildly undershoots the target 850 RPM. With the fans and AC on it will often stall.
In order I'm thinking
Busted/Stuck AIC valve.
Oil crud in throttle body (an old 8 valve favourite)
Vacuum Leaks (this always seems to be the catchall!
Anyone have better ideas?
