Mine automatic runs very smooth at any speed and with all the fine tuning and maintenance I do, it's easy to get 22mpg-city and 26mpg-highway. Thats better than almost all the US made gas guzzlers. When I bought the car, it's mpg was 19mpg-highway. The 87/9000turbo always gets 28-30mpg highway. If the ECU is running with all it's componants in place and the fuel injectors are atomizing properly
