Alot of times what happens is the window regulator unit gets dry or rusty., not well lubed like it should be . You will need to remove the door panel to further investigate. It will be some torx screws #20 and 6 #25s dont be to intimidated its very straight forward. Behind the door panel are 4 10mm nuts that hold the unit in place also two bolts that hold it to the door glass either 10mm or #30 torx also two wires to the motor use a flat screwdriver and pry up to loosen wires and remember what position they go back. Then separate the motor from the regulator 3 10mm bolts , then manouver the regulator through the opening. Next clamp the lowest most point of the unit into a bench then lube all points movement while moving unit through its opening and closing motion also inspect all of the teeth for wear. If the teeth are all good and the unit is moving with very little effort recnect motor to wires and operate switch up and down to be sure its also working. If all is good lube all points of movement with some grease also lube the gear on the motor. reconect the motor to the unit in the half down position then put the unit back into the opening bolt it back up and reconnect the door glass to the unit .You should be ok from there.
