...I don't see why not. It's just providing make-up fluid to the system, not flowing anything, normally, and tho it might be a little slower to fill a dry system to bleed it, even a skinny hose should work.
Normally the system should need minimal added fluid, the reservoir and feed hose are just there to make up the tiny losses of what seeps past the seals over time.
Result of a failure in that hose wouldn't be very serious. Your clutch might eventually stop working if it passed enough fluid to admit air at the top, but a new hose and just bleeding would cure that.
Even if a hose broke and fluid leaked out of the reservoir it wouldn't hurt your braking ability, the separate compartment for the clutch leaves plenty of fluid still there for the brakes.
So, to get rolling I would use whatever I had on hand or could scrounge, even clear vinyl tubing. Then over time I would look for something certified as good against all attack from brake fluid.
Maybe you could srounge a hose from a junkyard. On my 19 year old '89s the factory hoses still look fine. I like to twist that little spring clip around to where I can get a tiny vise grip's jaws to latch on the prongs and hold it open, then slide it down the hose a ways, and use an "upholstery tool" fastener prying tool, forked bent thingy. to coax the hose into starting to move off the spigot.
