It is pretty easy to remove the radio just to check if someone wrote the code on it, just use the radio removal tool in the tool kit. I would also check through the owners manual carefully, the code is often written there. You can also contact a dealer with your VIN and they may be able to look up the code for you. When you do find the code, write it down somewhere, you will need it everytime you disconnect the battery or if the battery goes dead.
