...are still attached to it. A battery and jumper cables, or a starter pack, then jumper the solenoid's small wire to starter's main terminal.
I'd make them show me or at least make them let me do the test myself.
You need a compression tester with the long hose to get down to the spark plug holes.
If block and tranny are split apart, you'd have a tougher job, have to mount engine to a stand, and there'd be no oil lubing the bearings and no splash lube of pistons in the bores so go easy cranking it.
"210" sounds like salesmen's standard pitch to me, kind of like the heart arteries that are always "90 percent blocked" when they want to sell heart surgery to someone with insurance.
